Manjistha Face Pack To Reduce Pigmentation

Home remedies are always best compared to cosmetics available in the market. Today I am here to share one of the most wanted DIY face pack to reduce pigmentation, freckles and give a glow to skin.  I have the habit of drinking wheatgrass juice in Booster juice shop to add glow to my skin. Unfortunately they removed the juice stall from my office recently. So I decided to get wheatgrass powder and wanted to drink it with water. But believe me it’s not an easy job, I puked two times when I tried to drink it :-( Left over wheat grass powder was sleeping in my shelf for a month.  When I was thinking how to use it up, I found this DIY Face pack remedy. Stories apart, here are the simple ingredients I used for the face pack.

Ingredients:
2 tea spoon of gram flour
2 teaspoon of wheatgrass powder
1 teaspoon of manjistha
Few drops of honey
water or milk

Benefits of the ingredients:
Wheatgrass powder :

Helps overcome skin disorders, improves skin & muscle tone. Paste of Wheatgrass Powder with milk applied like a face pack helps overcome skin problems such as Acne, Black/White heads, skin tan/burn etc.
Manjistha:

Manjistha is a very good skincare herb. Used externally and internally, it makes the skin lustrous and glowing and helps to remove pimples, freckles and discoloration.

Honey:
Honey can do wonders for your skin. They help protect your skin from harmful UV rays and facilitate the skin’s ability to rejuvenate.
No doubt , if combined these precious herbs, they can give the face pack that can cure lot of skin issues.
When I tried to apply only the mixture of wheatgrass and manjistha with water alone, I felt it’s not sticking well to skin and Manjistha left red stain on face which took three washes to go. So I added gram flour little to the mixture.

For best results, use milk as it has whitening properties, here I used water. You can add one teaspoon Neem powder also if you suffer by pimples. Mix these ingredients well. Cleanse the face and apply the paste face, leave it for 15 minutes. Wash before it is completely dry.
I felt instant softness in my skin, and after four to five applications (Once in a week) I found it really have the tendency to reduce the pigmentation. Manjistha can be purchased online or from Ayurvedic medicines shops.

In addition to using this face pack, drinking wheat grass juice weekly once or twice can really do a miracle in skin texture.

If you like it then don't forget to share among your true ones.

Health Benefits of Shatavari tea

Shatavari is a very important herb, used as a rejuvenating tonic for women for thousands of years, and it is one of the most popular Ayurvedic medications. It is an herb that will help the reproductive system heal in a positive manner.
The name translates roughly to “the cure for one hundred diseases”.
The active compounds it contains acts upon all of the tissues within the body and creates a powerful action known as anabolic action. It is frequently referred to mothers after their delivery because it assists in secretion of milk.
Shatavari can be found in the market in the form of granules. This powder form can be mixed with milk and you can take it around two times a day for the best results.

Where does Shatavari come from?

As a member of the asparagus family (asparagus racemosus), it is also referred to as the Indian asparagus. It can be found in the tropical areas of Asia, India, Australia, and Africa. It is a woody plant that usually grows in shady areas and at a low altitude.

Preparation of Shatavari:

Talk about convenience; you can purchase easy-to-digest capsules and take them as supplements. Alternately, you can get the granules, which are made from the dried root, which can then be mixed into a wide range of dishes, drinks, and teas. The granules or a powdered form are very inexpensive, and will do wonders for your body. Once you have the granules you can mix 1 tablespoon of the Shatavari in milk. Combine the granules and the milk completely. Serve! You can make this twice a day for yourself for fast results.

Benefits:

  • Shatavari aids in releasing the extra water weight during periods.
  • It has the ability to balance the pH levels of the vagina; it nourishes the body, and cleanses dry membranes so that the fluids are balanced completely.
  • It increases the amount of breast milk for mothers and it is used by those women that suffer from hysterectomy.
  • Fertility rate increases because Shatavari nourishes the ovum.
  • Shatavari can be used by males to reduce sexual problems such as reduction in inflammation of sexual organs and even impotence. It can also help increase the love felt between two partners.
  • This medication consists of therapeutic features such as isoflavoness, soluble fibers, and complex sugars. These components help in digestion. They can also fight against heartburn and colitis. The medication consists of components that create a cooling effect and therefore it can lower fever, inflammation, and even stomach ulcers.
  • Shatavari can fight cholera, typhoid fever, dysenteriae, E.coli, and Staphyoloccus aerus. These bacteria can cause diarrhea and vomiting.
  • This medication will help to relieve stress. It creates an immune response within the body and this helps to protect the body from damaging effects like stress.
It is recommended that you take Shatavari twice a day and make sure that you take the medication after a meal. You will see excellent results on your body and mind when you incorporate this amazing medication into your lifestyle. This is one of the ingredients in an Ayurvedic diet that provides a nourishing effect on the body and will make you feel good about yourself. Try it out for yourself and see the fantastic results!

Good For The Guys – And Even The Young Girls

If you share this power herb with your man, he might just thank you for it! In addition to the energizing and nerve tonic properties discussed above, it treats  impotence and general sexual debility. (So, maybe once your own libido is lifted, you’ll be the one doing the thanking!)
In fact, get the whole family in on it (well, at least your teenaged daughters). Lisa told me that in India, parents often feed shatavari to young girls when they reach puberty. They consider it a tonic that acts as a preventative for hormonal imbalances and other menstrual irregularities.

                          Herbs for Reduce stress

Introduction
Stress can directly manifest in damaging effects on the body, and indirectly augment health problems. Additionally, there are many harmful physiological changes due to chronic stress.Instead of reaching for a tub of ice cream, knowing what healthy options are available, we can utilize the calming properties of herbal supplements and teas and healthful foods.

Anxiety is a normal reaction to stress, which is practically unavoidable in today’s modern world. Acute stress and anxiety are normal and may even be helpful at times; however, chronic stress and anxiety can take a toll on your physical and mental health. Herbal remedies have been used for centuries to help combat stress and anxiety. Keep in mind that herbs may interact with other herbs, supplements and medications, so consult your doctor before taking a herbal remedy for stress and anxiety.

Important Nutrients for Stress-Reduction
  • Vitamin C: Consuming foods high in vitamin C, such as oranges and other citrus fruits, can reduce stress and boost the immune system. Intake of this vitamin can help lower the levels of cortisol, a stress hormone, and blood pressure during high-anxiety situations.
  • Complex Carbohydrates: Complex carbohydrates, such as whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, can induce the brain to increase serotonin production and stabilizing blood pressure as a way to reduce stress.
  • Magnesium: Obtaininganadequate amount of magnesium is essential for avoiding headaches and fatigue. Oral magnesium can also successfully relieve premenstrual mood changes. Additionally, increased magnesium intake has been found to improve sleep quality in older adults. Healthy sources of magnesium include spinach or other leafy greens, salmon, and soybeans.
  • Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Fatty fish (such as salmon and tuna) and nuts and seeds (such as flaxseeds, pistachios, walnuts, and almonds) are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which have been shown to reduce surges of stress hormones and also confer protection against heart disease, depression, and premenstrual syndrome.
Here are four herbs that have been proven effective at reducing stress and anxiety:

1. Licorice Root contains a natural hormone alternative to cortisone, which can help the body handle stressful situations, and can help to normalize blood sugar levels as well as your adrenal glands, providing you with the energy necessary to deal with the stressful situation at hand. Some claim stimulates cranial and cerebrospinal fluid, thereby calming the mind. As a soothing tonic, drink it warm as in a tea.
2. Passion flower is considered a mild sedative and can help promote sleep. Passion flower also treats anxiety, insomnia, depression and nervousness.
The parts of the passion flower plant that grow above the ground can be dried and steeped for tea. Otherwise, passion flower is available as a tincture, capsule and even as a juice.
3. Kava Kava, an herb from the South Pacific, is a powerful muscle relaxer and analgesic. Kava Kava is also effective at treating depression and anxiety associated with menopause.
Kava Kava is very easily found as a capsule in the supplement section of any grocery store.

5. Lavender is the workhorse of herbs. It is effective at reducing irritability and anxiety, promoting relaxation, a sense of calm and sleep. It is also a powerful anti-bacterial agent, and can work to balance hormones and stimulate the immune system.

HERE IS THE BENIFITS OF HERBS AND SPICES

Most of us have herbs and spices in our kitchen cabinet somewhere and they often get haphazardly added to recipes and culinary creations. Interestingly, most herbs and spices have health benefits attached to them, not to mention they improve the taste of so many foods! The problem is, most herbs and spices have been sitting on a grocery store shelf for so long, and thus they don’t have much nutritional value left.

Cinnamon

Health Boost: Can lower blood sugar, triglycerides, LDL, and total cholesterol in people with type 2 diabetes. Aim for one-fourth to one-half teaspoon of cinnamon twice a day.
Get Cooking: Dip berries or bananas in low-fat sour cream, then in a mix of 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon and 1/4 cup brown sugar.

Turmeric

Health Boost: Contains curcumin, which can inhibit the growth of cancer cells. Try to have 500 to 800 milligrams a day, says Bharat Aggarwal, PhD, a professor of cancer medicine at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
Get Cooking: For an Indian flavor, add 1/4 teaspoon turmeric to water when cooking 1 cup rice.

Rosemary

Health Boost: Stops gene mutations that could lead to cancer and may help prevent damage to the blood vessels that raise heart attack risk.
Get Cooking: For a delicious chicken rub, combine 2 teaspoons rosemary leaves with 2 teaspoons seasoning salt and 1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves.

Garlic

Health Boost: Destroys cancer cells and may disrupt the metabolism of tumor cells, says Karen Collins, RD, nutrition advisor to the American Institute for Cancer Research. "Studies suggest that one or two cloves weekly provide cancer-protective benefits."
Get Cooking: "Let garlic sit for 10 to 15 minutes after chopping and before cooking so the active form of the protective phytochemicals develops," says Collins. Saute fresh garlic over low heat and mix with pasta, red pepper flakes, and Parmesan cheese.

Paprika

Health Boost: Contains capsaicin, whose anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects may lower the risk of cancer (also found in cayenne and red chili peppers). There's no specific recommended dose, but moderation is probably the best way to go.
Get Cooking: Combine 1 1/2 teaspoons paprika, 1/2 teaspoon ground thyme and 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper to liven up popcorn.

Ginger

Health Boost: Can decrease motion sickness and nausea; may also relieve pain and swelling associated with arthritis. Doses used in clinical trials range from 500 to 2,000 mg of powdered ginger. (A quarter-size piece of fresh root contains about 1,000 mg.) More than 6,000 mg can cause stomach irritation. Ginger can also hinder blood clotting, so if you're about to have surgery or are taking blood thinners or aspirin, be sure to talk to your doctor first.
Get Cooking: For motion sickness, try having one or two pieces of crystallized, or candied, ginger. Make sure ginger is listed as an ingredient; some candied products or ginger ales contain a small amount or a synthetic form. You can also add 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger to vegetables like carrots and sweet potatoes, as well as fresh fruit (especially peaches).
